Okinawan Palms
Okinawa is Japan’s southernmost prefecture. It was the birthplace of karate, the location of some of the fiercest fighting in WWII, and now has the largest proportion of centenarians in the world. Located in the middle of “typhoon alley” it gets more than its fair share of wind and rain, but it also gets some fantastic golden evening light.
