Hahnemühle
Hahnemühle FineArt is the global market leader for digital fine art papers. For our Limited Edition Prints we use Hahnemühle’s Photo Rag® Pearl 320 paper. The paper won the TIPA (Technical Imaging Press Association) award in 2007 for "Best Fine Art Inkjet Paper" and was the perfect choice for our artwork.
“The new Photo Rag® Pearl has a smooth homogen surface structure with the unique pearl-coating. This natural white paper - consisting of 100 % cotton - is free of OBA's and reminds of a natural white baryt-paper. The paper features a high Dmax and a large colour gamut that enables the reproduction of finest colour and black-and-white nuances in three-dimensional prints. The precious feel of a real cotton paper offers also a „4th dimension": sensuality and emotion. The exclusive use of cotton linters in this premium paper makes it extremely age resistant and conforms to the highest conservation requirements.” Hahnemühle FineArt, 2007
Giclée prints
Giclée is the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. We use the fantastic Canon ipf5100 large format printer for the following reasons:
- The iPF5100 printer is engineered to produce colors, fine details, and subtle expressions required for some of the most challenging color environments
- The 12-color pigment ink system with LUCIA inks offers excellent color fastness and stability with a remarkably wide color gamut.
- Vivid breathtaking, long lasting prints are achieved by combining Canon's advanced technological achievements. The iPF5100 is designed for reliability, simplicity, productivity and above all, quality. [source: Canon, 2007]
